Bradford: A senior sister named Ayesha Orlanda, 52 years survived a 41 days long stay in Intensive care and now being moved to another ward for recovery. Mrs. Orlanda is originally from Philipines is a senior sister in Acute Dialysis unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary. She was on venitilator in ITU as she had become critically ill.
Mrs. Orlanda said that she feels lik she has been given a second chance at life and she is one among the lucky ones to survive Covid 19 pandemic. She also told that its really hard to be a patient when you are a nurse. She ascertained that its really important to be there for your patients, to spend time talking to them and to try and slow down.
New Delhi: In an important verdict in regard to Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, Delhi High Court said that nurses not dealing with Covid patients cannot be insured under this scheme. Scheme provides Rs. 50 lakh insurance cover to frontline health workers.

Speaking on the incident, Dr. Srinivas Gadappa HOD Gynaecology Department (GMCH) told that the suggestion made by nurse not only helped stop bleeding of the woman but also ended the need for a second surgery for uterus removal on July 17th 2020.
London: Government has given almost one million public sector workers inflation busting pay rises but for nurses there is no pay hike at all. Senior doctors, dentists, teachers, judges and police officers are among those who will receive the hike upto 3.1% in 2020/21. But nurses including care workers, junior doctors, hospital porters, cleaners, security etc are shunned in the deal. Government is still telling that here is an alternative pay rise scheme existing for them.
